Abstract: Pearl traffic is split between Spruce and Walnut streets around pedestrian mall, creates split intersection with Broadway and 14th streets. Beautiful example of a mixed-use, pedestrian friendly area that also has great multi-modal access.
Abstract: Calthorpe Associates was the architect for this TCI. It is in a brand new mixed use, high-end setting. There was concern among citizens that it might not function well, but it in fact functions very well and all are pleased.

Abstract: As designed, the large outer circle is a two-way road, which could result in significant congestion. However if the outer circle were converted to just counter-clockwise, this would be a true TCI, and likely be extremely efficient. No plans for this, but it is a "Sustainable Design" because it can easily be converted to one-way operation.

Abstract: Among the most pedestrian friendly atmospheres in the Country. This Couplet moves a lot of traffic, but at a slow, steady pace rather than stop and go. Tons of restaurants - very popular.
Abstract: An excellent Town Center split on which this city could build impressive density with great multi-modal access, assuming there is a market to fill in much of the under-utilized space.
Abstract: A very small TCI that looks more like quadrants, but is actually a super-short couplet. There are alignments for 4 potential quadrants. Not very sexy, but functionally efficient.

Abstract: Old Main Street was converted into a pedestrian mall, and traffic was routed instead along Church St. and Water St. Not sure if business is thriving or not, but this site could easily support high density mixed uses if the market is there.
